Actor Colin Farrell and his ex-partner, Kim Bordenave, have made the “tricky” decision to place their 21-year-old son, James, who has Angelman syndrome, into long-term care.
Angelman syndrome is a rare disorder that affects the nervous system and causes developmental delays among other issues.
Farrell expressed concerns about James's future care if something were to happen to him and Bordenave.
They are actively searching for a suitable facility where James can thrive and maintain connections with his family.
Farrell has previously advocated for individuals with intellectual disabilities, even launching a foundation in James's honour.
